Obama invites Middle East leaders to talks

US President Barack Obama has invited all sides in the Middle East Peace Process to talks at the White House, it emerged tonight.

Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak have all been invited to attend separate talks in an effort to move the peace process forward.

The talks are likely to take place in the first week of June.
