'No decision' on bin Laden photo

The White House has said it has made no decision on whether to release photographic proof that Osama bin Laden is dead.

John Brennan, President Barack Obama’s counter-terrorism adviser, said the administration will do everything it can to make sure no-one can deny US claims that the al Qaida leader was killed during a firefight with US forces in Pakistan.

But Mr Brennan said whether to release a photo of bin Laden’s dead body is still to be determined.

He said one concern is whether doing so could potentially jeopardise similar operations and intelligence sources in the future.
