New ambassador takes reins

The new US ambassador to Iraq has arrived in Baghdad to take up his post.

Christopher Hill formally presented his credentials to Iraq’s Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari. Mr Hill made no public statements.

He arrived in Baghdad three days after being confirmed by the US Senate.
