Motorcycle in 'serious collision' with fire engine in England

Emergency services in England are dealing with a "serious collision" between a motorcycle and a fire engine.

Police were called to the B5405 near Eccleshall, Staffordshire, after the incident involving the engine from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue and the motorbike.

It took place at around midday, Staffordshire Police said.

A spokesman for the force said: "Motorists are asked to avoid the area as the road will remain closed for some time whilst the investigation continues.

"Any witnesses are urged to call Staffordshire Police on 101 quoting incident 295 of 9 April."
