Mother held as four young children found stabbed to death

Four young children have been found stabbed to death by US police in Tennessee today.

Police made the discovery yesterday lunchtime in a flat in Memphis.

Their ages have not yet been released, but Shelby County sheriff Bill Oldham described them as "young children".

Other police officers reportedly referred to the victims as "babies".

Their mother has been taken into custody.
