McCanns attend special mass for Madeleine

Kate and Gerry McCann tonight returned to the church in which they were married for a Mass for Madeleine on the anniversary of her disappearance.

The couple sat with Mrs McCann’s parents, Susan and Brian Healy, in the front row at Our Lady Bishop Eton church in Liverpool.

Hundreds of well-wishers were also among the congregation.

The Mass will be led by Father Desmond Keegan, the Healy’s parish priest. He will be assisted by Father Paul Seddon, who married Kate and Gerry in 1998 and later baptised Madeleine.
