Iran 'defying' UN over nuclear activities

Iran may be withholding information the UN nuclear watchdog needs to establish whether it tried to make nuclear arms, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said today.

It also said Iran continues to deny such activities, dismissing evidence to the contrary as misleading or false.

The findings are part of a restricted agency report forwarded to the UN Security Council and to the 35 board members of the IAEA.

The report today also noted Tehran remains defiant of UN Security Council demands to stop uranium enrichment.
