India: Wedding ride ends in 39 dead

At least 39 people have been killed after a lorry ferrying people to a wedding plunged into a river in southern India.

Police said it was carrying 70 people over a bridge when the driver lost control while trying to some avoid electrical wires on the road.

Lorries are often used to transport people in rural India.
