Hundreds flee in Nigerian prison break

Around 800 Muslim extremist prisoners escaped during an attack by gunmen on their jail in Nigeria.

Bauchi state police commissioner Danlami Yar'Adua said four people died during the raid last night, suspected to be by the radical Boko Haram sect, a Muslim group that launched a wave of attacks in July 2009.

Investigators believe the fugitives are hiding in the mountains surrounding the region.
