Former President of Haiti dies

The former President of Haiti, Jean-Claude Duvalier, has died.

The former dictator known as ‘Baby Doc’ Duvalier died of a heart attack.

He ruled the impoverished Caribbean nation from 1971 until he was ousted in 1986.

The death of Duvalier, who returned to Haiti in 2011 after 25 years of exile, was announced by the nation's health minister, this evening.
