Fire crew rescue puppy with its head stuck in sofa

A puppy had to be rescued by firefighters after getting its head stuck in a sofa.

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service were called to the incident in Sidmouth Road, Exeter, at 9.22pm yesterday.

Officers attended the address and found the puppy stuck in the chair. They used small tools to free it.

A spokeswoman for the service said: “Fire control received a report of a six-month-old puppy with its head stuck in a sofa.

“One fire appliance from Middlemoor was mobilised and the puppy was released from the sofa using small tools.”
