EU ministers to meet on refugee crisis as Germany brings in border checks

EU ministers are due to hold an emergency meeting today to discuss the refugees crisis.

Germany says it is struggling to cope with the thousands of Syrian refugees flooding into the country.

Last night, it re-introduced temporary checks on its border with Austria, with trains between the two countries also suspended.

It followed the arrival of thousands of migrants at the weekend.
