Donald Trump will not run as an independent

US presidential hopeful Donald Trump has announced he will not run as an independent, if he is not selected as the Republican party candidate for the White House.

The tycoon had previously refused to rule it out.

A number of rivals are vying for the Republican nomination, including George W. Bush's brother Jeb.
