Republican presidential contender Donald Trump has decided who will be his running mate, his campaign chairman said.
Paul Manafort said that he thinks Mr Trump "has reached a decision but he isn't prepared to announce it yet" and that "until he announces it, there's no formal nominee" for vice president.
Mr Trump had planned to introduce his pick at a news conference on Friday morning in New York but tweeted that he would postpone the event because of the deadly attack in Nice, France.
A day earlier there was rampant speculation that saw Indiana governor Mike Pence emerge as a late favourite for the job.
Mr Manafort said that Mr Trump thought it would be "totally inappropriate" in the aftermath of the attack to announce the pick on Friday.
