Deadly blast at Istanbul Café was bomb attack

Istanbul’s chief of police today confirmed that an explosion at an internet cafe frequented by police was a bomb attack.

The bombing yesterday killed one person, and 15 others who were injured - including seven police officers – were still being treated in hospitals, Police Chief Celalettin Cerrah said.

A Kurdish group called the Kurdistan Freedom Falcons claimed responsibility for the attack.
