British ticketholder scoops £34m EuroMillions jackpot

A British ticketholder has scooped a £34 million jackpot in Friday's EuroMillions.

The lucky winner is the eighth person from the UK to claim the top prize so far this year - and the fourth person this month.

At the start of September, three players from the UK shared a EuroMillions jackpot, Camelot said.

Last month a mother from south Wales, who decided to buy a ticket while recovering from a tumour operation, found herself the winner of £61.1 million.

Andy Carter, senior winners' adviser at the National Lottery, said: "This year has been incredible for UK players of EuroMillions."

The winning main EuroMillions numbers were 05, 08, 14, 22, 32.
