BA flight makes emergency landing in Chicago

A British Airways flight from London to Houston, Texas, made an emergency landing at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport, officials said.

No injuries were reported.

Chicago Aviation Department spokesman Gregg Cunningham said BA Flight 195 landed at around 1.20pm local time (7.20pm Irish time) yesterday after the pilot reported a problem on board.

The problem was not immediately clear and messages left for British Airways were not immediately returned.

Passengers were evacuated and taken to the airport’s international terminal.

Chicago Fire Department spokesman Will Knight said the plane was secured in about an hour without incident.
