8 dead and 44 injured in Texas bus crash

Eight people have been killed and over 40 injured in a bus crash in south Texas.

Officials in Texas say the coach rolled over on Highway 83 - north of Laredo.

It had been on its way to a casino in Eagle Pass.

A police officer who attended the scene said it appeared the driver lost control of the vehicle.

The driver is among the 44 injured parties sent to nearby hospitals for treatment.

The crash is under investigation by the National Transportation Safety Board.
