16-year-old left fightiing for his life following shooting in UK

A 16-year-old boy is fighting for his life after being shot in the early hours of the morning.

Police were called to the junction of Lea Bridge Road and Bromley Road, in Waltham Forest, east London, at 3.10am on Sunday.

Armed officers attended and found the teenager suffering from a gunshot wound.

He was taken by ambulance to an east London hospital and remains in a critical condition.

Police are in the process of informing next-of-kin, and there have been no arrests.

Anyone who saw anything suspicious, or can help the police investigation is asked to call Trident officers via 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
