Letter to Editor: Green Party can offer a new politics, finally

Congratulations to Eamon Ryan on the Green Party comeback in the elections and I hope you have learned the lessons of the past.

FF/FG/SF haven’t learned anything and will do anything for power.

I am writing this directly to you and hope your policies in the future will target those who pollute and get rich in the process.

As people, we need to change our habits and don’t need to be taxed to debt for change to happen.

As you’ve received a minor mandate from your employers and may get a major one, should a general election be called?

Don’t forget to target the big industrial polluters and maybe join forces with SD/L/PBP/Independents?

This may give you the numbers, power, and confidence to challenge the tired old parties.

The two main ones just bankrupt the country repeatedly and SF is not ready for government yet.

Now is your chance to seize the change in the electorate and capitalise. We need new politics!
