Letters to the Editor: Well worth missing the bus for Rory Gallagher

Reading your top class article re Rory Gallagher brings me back to an occasion at the City Hall about December 1970? First on was Vincent Crane and Atomic Rooster absolutely brilliant, how could anyone follow that? On came Taste and follow them they did.

Looking at my watch the last bus to East Cork would be leaving soon. Could I leave the music? Not at all. I'd chance thumbing it home, after walking a mile or do from town some good samaritan picked me up and brought me most of the twenty miles home.

Was it worth it? Of course it was. Superb.

PS Had hair that time.

E Aherne,

Midleton,

Co Cork
