We all know that the Cats of Kilkenny are masters at hurling, but their football leaves much to be desired.
This was amply shown in the result of today's Leinster Minor Football Championship game at Nowlan Park between Kilkenny and Wexford.
Ref finally blows full time in Nowlan Pk Leinster minor football championship Wexford 17-20 Kilkenny 0-0— Wexford GAA (@OfficialWexGAA) April 16, 2016
Yes, you read that right, Wexford's Minor Footballers won 17-20 to 0-00, a whopping 71-point win.
Wexford's score was so much that the scoreboard didn't have the space to record all their goals. So they had to use part of Kilkenny's space.
There was an overwhelming feeling of symapthy for Kilkenny's youngsters.
Can anyone explain to me the point of that Wexford/Kilkenny minor match today apart from making the Kilkenny lads never want to play again?— Darnell Parkinson (@ddparko) April 16, 2016
Ouch. That hammering of the Kilkenny minor footballers does not read well. Bad for the young lads confidence too.— ashlingdalton (@iamanashling) April 16, 2016
