Wexford searching for new hurling manager

Wexford are searching for a new hurling manager following confirmation that John Meyler is not being considered for another year in the job.

Meyler's two-year reign has been reasonably successful, despite heavy defeats to Kilkenny.

His side only narrowly lost to All-Ireland finalists Waterford in this year's quarter-finals and both he and the players were thought to be happy to continue.

However, the County Board has confirmed that his name will not be put forward to take up the optional third year of his original term.
