WATCH: When Messi’s biggest little fan finally met him, he didn’t want to let go

This is too sweet for words.

Yesterday we reported that Murtaza Ahmadi, the little Afghan boy who went viral for wearing a homemade Lionel Messi jersey, finally got to meet his idol.

The two met in Doha, where Messi is playing with Barcelona in a friendly.

It turns out Murtaza is a determined little dude and, once he met his hero, he really didn’t want to let go.

He just wanted to hug him.

Eventually a match official had to lift him from the pitch so they match could get underway - check out his cheeky little grin.

Looks like Murtaza was a hit with the whole team, not just Messi.
