WATCH: The epic tale of two Irish chancers blagging their way into UFC205

Shane Gillen and Kymann Power, take a bow - your story will go down in the history of blagging.

The pair were on holidays in the US and decided to spend a few days in New York to coincide with the Conor McGregor fight in Madison Square Garden.

They didn’t have tickets for the high-profile UFC event but managed to get in anyway.

Shane told the story on his Facebook page: “Here's my Snap story detailing how we blagged our way in to UFC 205 in Madison Square Garden tonight. Not only did we blag our way in, but we full on entered the most famous venue in the world via the media entrance under the guise of sports journalists, entitling ourselves to Access All Areas passes, no less.

“The entire thing was the master work of Kymann Power. The rest was just having the guts to be ballsy in the face of security. Kymann will have a vlog about it soon, and we have some hilariously incredible photographs. It's almost 5am, I'm off to bed. Unreal.”

Check out their their evening.

Kymann explained further details of his cunning plan, which centred around taking close-up photographs of security passes at the entrance to the iconic venue and then reproducing them.

"The hardest part was getting the pass the right colour, as they changed daily,” he told joe.ie. “But we also had to gamble on the size of the pass.

"When I got through [security], it was the funniest moment ever."

Definitely one to tell the grandkids.
