Watch Rory McIlroy squirm in a tough interview with a nine-year-old boy

Rory McIlroy got a grilling from a nine-year-old fan on the eve of his defence of the DP World Tour Championship.

In the video, Billy goes in hard from the start, holding up a photo of the four-time Major champion having a bit of a bad hair day and asking “what were you thinking?”

He then goes on to talk about Donald Trump and Niall Horan … we didn’t think we’d ever hear those two names in the same sentence.

At the Jumeirah Golf Estates in Dubai, Billy even presents Rory with a box of socks, “just in case you get cold feet again”, referencing his split from Caroline Wozniacki and upcoming wedding to Erica Stoll. Absolutely brutal.

Rory doesn’t appear to have been too offended, posting on Twitter afterwards about how much fun the interview was.

This kid is going places.
