WATCH: Irish fans jubilant after Wembley win

Reporter Peter O’Dwyer took to the streets outside Wembley to take the mood of the massive Irish support.

Fans were naturally in top form after watching their team cruise to a 44-10 victory against Romania, watched by a record-breaking crowd.

The odd note of caution was sounded, but the overall feeling was one of job well done and on to the next game.

He also bumped into some Romania fans, who were realistic about their team’s chances, but determined to enjoy the tournament.

At least they had the consolation of seeing their team score a late try, and also a marriage proposal!

More Ireland fans were ready and waiting to give captain Paul O’Connell a thunderous greeting after the game.
