WATCH: Greek league gives us a new contender for worst miss ever

Normally the fourth tier match between Greek sides Makedonikos Kozanis and Vatera would pass by without much international attention.

But a shocker of a miss from Makedonikos Kozanis footballer Thanasis Takidis has clocked up more than 300,000 views in the days since the game.

The Greek striker looked likely to score after neatly nicking the ball when the opposition keeper fumbled.

Takidis took a little too long dribbling towards goal, giving a Vatera defender time to rush back and cover.

But when he managed to stay on his feet with the ball after a sliding tackle, there was only one place the ball could end up. Wasn’t there?

Oh dear.
