WATCH: Great moment as Thomas Barr first meets his parents after Olympic final

Athletics Ireland captured a great moment after the men's 400m hurdles final in Rio yesterday.

Irishman Thomas Barr came within a hair's breadth of a medal, setting a new Irish record in the process.

A journalist with Athletics Ireland met him for an interview afterwards but while they chatted two people who were far more interested in seeing Barr burst into the frame.

Watch until the very end to see his overjoyed parents wrap the hurdler in a bear hug.

Lovely.

Once the hugs and greetings were over with, the very happy family posed with an Irish flag.
