WATCH: Early tea break called when wandering dog interrupts the cricket

England’s cricketers got some respite from a mauling by India yesterday; thanks to a wandering dog.

The animal burst on to the outfield to have a run around, blissfully unaware of the fame it was earning itself and toying with stewards who tried to chase it away.

One guard even took off his shoe and lobbed it at the four-legged intruder.

The episode caused the umpire to call an early tea break as the pesky pooch was dealt with.

And within minutes, the pitch invader even had its own Twitter account.
