UFC 205 is 24 hours away and the Conor McGregor press events have been as outrageous as ever, writes Stephen Barry.

He's gone from taking Jose Aldo’s belt in the UFC 189 build-up, to dressing up as Mexican drug lord “El Chapo in his prime” before UFC 197. And that’s before mentioning his bottle-throwing before UFC 202, which resulted in a $150,000 (€135,000) fine and an order to complete 50 hours of community service.

McGregor’s press conference last night was something of a greatest hits collection, arriving dressed in a white Gucci mink jacket, grabbing Eddie Alvarez’s lightweight belt and shaping to throw a chair, before reconsidering.

McGregor weighed-in this morning at 154.4lbs and came face-to-face with Alvarez for the ceremonial weigh-in at 11pm Irish time.
