Warnock a doubt for Villa

Left-back Stephen Warnock is Aston Villa’s main injury concern ahead of Tuesday’s Premier League clash with Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.

Warnock suffered a neck injury and was substituted during the second half of Saturday’s 1-0 victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Luke Young could switch flanks to replace him with Carlos Cuellar moving from the middle to right-back and James Collins earning a recall at centre-half alongside Richard Dunne.

Provisional squad: Friedel, Cuellar, Dunne, Collins, Luke Young, Warnock, Downing, Petrov, Milner, Ashley Young, Heskey, Agbonlahor, Guzan, Carew, Reo-Coker, Sidwell, Delph, Beye, Clark, Delfouneso.
