VIDEO: Seagull vs cricket-ball

This poor seagull was hit by a very unexpected missile in Hove last week.

The Middlesex Panthers were taking on the Sussex Sharks and Panthers batsman Ryan Higgins absolutely nailed a shot sending the ball fast and high into the air.

Two seconds later the seagull comes spiralling down out of the sky having clearly taken a direct hit.

Fortunately it recovered enough to half-fly half-hop off the wicket, so presumably no permanent harm was done.

The Panthers did not recover so well, eventually losing by six wickets.
