VIDEO: Gerrard refuses to sign LA Galaxy jersey at Anfield

Steven Gerrard refused to sign a LA Galaxy jersey when it was offered to him on Saturday night.

It was an emotional evening at Anfield, with Gerrard saying goodbye to the Liverpool fans after his final home game for the club.

The iconic captain spoke to the crowd after the match and then did a lap of the stadium, talking to fans and signing autographs.

The midfielder is moving to the US to play for LA Galaxy in the MLS and one fan had already purchased a LA Galaxy shirt and brought it to Anfield.

He asked Gerrard to autograph it, but the player refused, saying: “I’m not signing the LA Galaxy ones until I’m there”.

Gerrard will play once more for the Reds, against Stoke next weekend, before his Liverpool career ends and he becomes a LA Galaxy player.
