Unbelievable missed goal in the Australian League

Unbelievable missed goal in the Australian League

Adelaide United winger Awer Mabil was left red-faced today after somehow not scoring from two yards in front of an open goal.

The opposing goalie was off his line after going out to another Adelaide player so when the ball was chipped over him the goal was undefended.

Somehow Mabil, who had already scored in the game, managed to knee the ball over the bar instead of the putting it in the back of the net.

Luckily for him, his side were already winning two-nil against Perth Glory so the mistake was embarrassing, but not costly for his side.

He'll be a long time living it down though.
