Two apiece for Kearney and Mooney

Cork City 5 Cobh Ramblers 0

Dave Mooney and Liam Kearney scored two apiece as Cork ran up their biggest win over the season as Cobh's problems mount.

Cork dominated from the start and got their lead goal on 24 minutes.

A sublime ball over the top by Irish international Joe Gamble put striker John O'Flynn in behind the Cobh defence and he shot confidently past James McCarthy in the Ramblers goal.

Mooney doubled that lead with another good goal on 40 minutes, shooting left footed past McCarthy from Kearney's pass.

Winger Kearney hooked home his first from Colin Healy's pass on 55 minutes before setting up Mooney for his second, and ninth of the league season, on 67 minutes.

Kearney then rifled home his second seven minutes from time to complete the rout.
