It wasn’t the best day weather-wise at Croke Park and the entertainment was sadly lacking in a goalless game that was played out in very difficult conditions for the players.
In the end, it’s another Sam Maguire for Dublin as Kerry get the blues.
Here’s how Twitter reacted.
Rain, rain, everybody wanted it to go away
Since both teams are Irish neither would be used to the wet conditions #DUBvKER— Urlofcork (@urlofcork) September 20, 2015

A bit of rain and they can't stand up or pass a ball #DUBvKER— SaintsFan (@jonb1977) September 20, 2015
Time for the flood lights! #dubvKer— Mick Hunt (@thegreenandred) September 20, 2015
#DUBVKER it's like handling a bar of soap. Terrible conditions but played (so far) in good spirits— Shane Hynes (@shanehynes01) September 20, 2015
Beginning to look like this game is being played on ice. #DUBvKER— Oonagh (@OonaghOMahony) September 20, 2015
Not sure if I'm watching an All Ireland Final or an episode of It's a Knockout #DUBvKER— Alan Lambo Lambert (@alanlambodublin) September 20, 2015
The massive letters on the pitch were not popular with Tweeters
@damianharvey74 The writing on the pitch is more entertaining than the football at the minute— Seamus Donnelly (@seamusdonnelly) September 20, 2015
Writing on the pitch is awful— Ian Barrett (@ianbarrett13) September 20, 2015
Wtf is the writing on the pitch— Carlyn (@carlynmccarthy2) September 20, 2015
Most were not happy with the entertainment on offer
this is one of the most frustrating football matches I've ever watched #DUBvKER— Laura Brown (@laurabrown97_) September 20, 2015
Bit of a dull game #DUBvKER— Michelle Kilgannon (@MichelleJuly) September 20, 2015
Loyalties were divided for some
Kerry fans were a bit panicky at half-time and were calling for Kieran Donaghy!
Kerry in real trouble! #DUBvKER— Jim Mulhall (@Jimmulh) September 20, 2015
There's only one thing for this match - high ball into Donaghy. Get him on! #DUBvKER— Fiona Power (@FionaPower9) September 20, 2015
Kerry playing like Mayo. Bad misses. Dubs much more controlled #DUBvKER— Noel Daly⚽ (@66noel66) September 20, 2015
Bit of a domestic amongst the kerry management #DUBvKER— Ciara Ní Ch (@CNiChuinn) September 20, 2015
It was like a November afternoon at Croker
There were some tasty challenges
Despite the high pressure situation, Stephen Cluxton kept his sense of humour
Paul Galvin coming on for Kerry caused quite the reaction
Big call galvin for Moran #dubvker— tim murphy (@timmknocknagree) September 20, 2015
Little girl asks who's that? Big boy says "paul galvin". Little girl asks why he is being put on "cause he's a tank" #DUBvKER— nessa mcgann (@NessaMcGann) September 20, 2015
At the end of a poor game in bad conditions, the better team won!
And that'll do it, not pretty but a good win #DUBvKER— Sen. Neale Richmond (@nealerichmond) September 20, 2015
There won't be a cow milked in Dublin for a week! #DUBvKER— Jordan Drennan (@JordanDrennan) September 20, 2015
I can only imagine the atmosphere of Coppers tonight. #DUBvKER— Gavin (@LaughingJ0ker) September 20, 2015
