Thurles on but chases abandoned

This afternoon’s meeting at Thurles has been given the green light for racing, but the two chases on the card have been abandoned.

Irish Turf Club officials announced a 7.30am inspection in light of the recent cold snap and are pleased to report the hurdle and bumper course is fit for racing, meaning a five-race meeting will take place.

The going is described as soft to heavy.
