There is an appeal out to help Shay Given find a new club

Shay Given is one of Ireland's finest footballers and with 134 international caps to his name, has always been a safe pair of hands.

But after being released by Stoke at the end of the season, the Donegal shot-stopper is searching for a new club.

Enter Talksport and Alan Brazil.

Given was a guest on the breakfast show this morning and they decided to give the 'keeper all the help he deserves in his quest for a new club.

If that doesn't get a club interested, nothing will.

In all seriousness, despite being 41, Given would surely be worth taking on by someone.

There's life in the old dog yet.
