Team news for Chelsea v Liverpool

Premier League champions Chelsea made five changes for the visit of Liverpool, with 19-year-old midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek given a first start.

Diego Costa was not risked, with Loic Remy starting up front in place of Didier Drogba, while Kurt Zouma, Filipe Luis and John Obi Mikel also came in for the Blues.

Liverpool – needing to win to keep their slim hopes of Champions League football next term alive and expected to give their hosts a guard of honour - were unchanged following their win over QPR.

Liverpool: Mignolet, Can, Skrtel, Lovren, Johnson, Henderson, Gerrard, Coutinho, Sterling, Lambert, Lallana. Subs: Toure, Moreno, Lucas, Allen, Ibe, Ward, Sinclair.
