Strike duo doubtful for Stoke

Stoke strikers Ricardo Fuller and James Beattie are both doubtful for the Barclays Premier League match against Manchester United at the Britannia Stadium on Saturday.

Fuller suffered a groin strain during the Carling Cup victory over Blackpool on Tuesday while Beattie suffered a recurrence of an ankle injury.

Manager Tony Pulis said: “Fuller is touch and go and that is our big concern at the moment.

“Beattie has had an ankle injury but we thought he would get through the game. However, the problem has flared up again.”
