Strachan issues title warning

Celtic manager Gordon Strachan has warned his players to expect all their facets to be tested during the title run-in.

Celtic, who have a three-point lead in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League, host Falkirk tonight as Rangers visit St Mirren.

The Parkhead side overturned a seven-point deficit during April and May last year to clinch their third successive title.

But Strachan is preparing for just as challenging a finale to the SPL season.

“It takes everything,” Strachan said when asked what would be required to win the title race.

“You are tested everywhere – mentally, physically, technically.

“You never know when you need that certain character or more ability.

“When it comes along you will know it and you will find out if you have enough. It might just come instantly, it might build up.”
