Sporting Fingal show character in rescuing point

Bohemians 1 Sporting Fingal 1

Paddy Madden's seventh goal in four games wasn't enough for champions Bohemians to see off Sporting Fingal at Dalymount Park in this game of two halves.

Bohs utterly dominated the first 45 minutes and were good value for Madden’s lead goal on 25 minutes when he lobbed Brendan Clarke after Mark Rossiter flicked on skipper Owen Heary’s long ball out of defence.

But Sporting were far better in the second half, and after surviving Madden hitting a post on 74 minutes, deservedly drew level a minute later.

Ger O’Brien got forward from the back to work a one-two with Shane McFaul before shooting past Barry Murphy.
