Soldado misses an absolute sitter

Roberto Soldado had his team-mates to thank for saving his blushes after he had the miss of the season so far last night.

Spurs went 2-nil down to Burnley last night in the F.A. Cup before Paulinho pulled one back for them.

Fans must have thought they would be level when former Real Madrid striker Soldado was presented with the ball six yards from an open goal.

But the player somehow managed to scuff what should have been a tap-in and it deflected off the crossbar.

Luckily for Soldado his team went on to win 4-2 - so his miss was embarrassing but not catastrophic.
