Shane Long out of Ireland squad after suffering hamstring injury in training

Shane Long has been ruled out of the Republic of Ireland's Euro 2020 qualifiers against Denmark and Gibraltar.

The Southampton striker suffered a hamstring injury in training.

Mick McCarthy's men take on the Danes on Friday night in Copenhagen, and welcome Gibraltar to the Aviva Stadium on Monday.

The Tipperary man has scored 17 goals for the Boys in Green in 82 appearances.
