David Beckham gave a glimpse of less glamorous aspects of his lifestyle today which include carrying the nappy bag and making the tea.

Becks reveals his domestic chores

He told BBC Breakfast that he makes the tea for his Spice Girl-turned-fashion designer wife Victoria while she is creating her collections.

The father-of-four said his job in his “very organised” globe trotting family is to take care of the nappy bag.

Victoria always walks with two of the boys while he always carries their toddler daughter Harper and one of the other boys when they travel.

Beckham is promoting a Manchester United documentary covering the period from 1992, where he, Paul Scholes, Nicky Butt, Ryan Giggs and Phil and Gary Neville were team-mates and looks at how the six Manchester United players rose up through the squad to top level success.

The players – nicknamed the class of 92 – were all friends and he describes manager Alex Ferguson as the “godfather – and not in a good way”.

He told BBC Breakfast: “Not in a bad way but we were all very scared of him.”

The former England captain recalled that all six players moved through the ranks from the youth team through to first team plus national level “and we did it as friends”.

He said: “We did it and won everything in football – it does not get any better than that.”

The film covers the period from 1992 to 1999, culminating in the club’s Champions League triumph.

Beckham, 38, predicted an announcement about whether he would be in charge of a US soccer team would be “at some point before the new year” but he said that he would not be a manager.

He remained tightlipped about the reports he will get a knighthood to add to his OBE in the New Year Honours List, just saying: “I am very proud of what I have already got.”
