Ramonti retired to Kildangan stud

Godolphin’s multiple Group One winner Ramonti has been retired to Kildangan stud in Kildare.

After arriving in England from Italy at the start of the 2007 season he began his career with Saeed bin Suroor by finishing second to Red Evie in the Lockinge Stakes.

He then went on to prove himself the outstanding miler of the season by winning the Queen Anne Stakes, the Sussex Stakes, the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes and the Hong Kong Cup, as well as finishing second to Darjina in the Prix du Moulin.

A leg infection restricted him to just one run this season when he finished down the field behind Archipenko in the Summer Mile at Ascot.
