Life-long Arsenal fan Piers Morgan was so distraught by his side’s performance in the Champions League last night that he opened negotiations with Man City star Vincent Kompany about a move to the London club.
Arsenal threw away a 3-nil lead that would have guaranteed them a place in the knock-out stages of the competition and ended up drawing with Anderlecht at home.
Former tabloid editor Morgan took to Twitter to vent his fury but also had a go at Kompany for cheering on Anderlecht.
A new low. 3-0 up...last 16 place guaranteed...and we throw it away. Disgraceful. #afc— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) November 4, 2014
Pipe down, Vincent. > RT @VincentKompany OMG Anderlecht!!— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) November 4, 2014
Kompany responded to justify his support and that’s when Morgan turned a Twitter chat into a job offer.
@VincentKompany I know, I know...it's just too painful. If I pay you £50m will you come and play for us?— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) November 4, 2014
Unfortunately for Arsenal fans, Man City’s captain wasn’t too tempted by the offer.

Morgan tried to changing his mind by upping his price -
- but just ended up looking a bit tragic.
