The demolition team are beginning to take chunks out of Páirc Ui Chaoimh.

Passers-by have been capturing the section-by-section flattening of the main stand this week, making for some intriguing viewing.

For those who need reminding, this is the ‘before’ pic, from last year’s Munster hurling final:

And this is what the multi-million redevelopment is expected to look like:

The completion date is set for 2017.
