Pere ruled out of National

Jim Dreaper has ruled Notre Pere out of the Powers Whiskey Irish Grand National at Fairyhouse today.

Doubts had surrounded his participation ever since declaration time on Friday due to the quick ground.

After the forecast rain failed to materialise, Dreaper withdrew the Welsh National winner, meaning Jonjo O’Neill’s Wichita Lineman will now carry top weight of 11st 7lb.
